The Abortion of a Pro-Lifer

Jim (James Lawrence) Pouillon, 63, of Owosso

On 11 September 2009, Jim was murdered as he sat outside an abortion clinic, protesting the injustice being carrried out behind its doors as he had been doing for many years. The president of the pro-life group Jim was a member of described him as, "just a nice, elderly gentleman who was disabled, used an oxygen tank and wore leg braces." The murderer shot Jim several times to kill him - a comparatively quick and painless death when compared with the slow and brutal methods of killing unborn babies he was standing up for. Jim has saved many babies' lives and many women from the harm of abortion - but finally paid the ultimate price, something he had said he was prepared to do long before. Read more.

What a legend.

    You're not a libertarian.

A libertarian doesn't tell women what to do with their own bodies.
A libertarian doesn't support the state imposing criminal charges for my choice to use drugs.
A libertarian's ideology is rooted in reason, not in religion.

Maybe you should read the following books before you go on besmirching the libertarian label:
Nozick, R "Anarchy, State and Utopia"
    Aristotle - all of it
Kant, I "The Metaphysics of Morals"

    Hell, even read Atlas Shrugged.

  2. Anonymous, you obviously haven't read anything I've written, and are instead allowing your bias against my religion to affect reality.

I am a libertarian, and hold Mill's harm principle as being probably the ultimate fundamental of policy.

    1) Abortion is about choice. If the foetus gives consent for the abortion to take place, then I would not be opposed to it. It comes down, not to "women's rights", but biology.

    2) I call for the decriminalisation of all drugs.

    3) My Christian-Libertarian worldview is based on an understanding of absolute truth alongside reason.

Maybe you should actually read what I wrote before you make your petty, anonymous claims.

    Have a good one.

  5. It's not ok to shoot abortion doctors as much as it's not ok to abort babies.
