Handguns: Now think about this:
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million)
( B) Accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188.

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
Yup! :)
ReplyDeletemate, that's BS and you know it... think for a second about all the different stuff that needs to be taken into account: like how many peopel are in contact witht each doctor etc... and that a mistake usually means somethign alot more serious... instead of a miss at the target etc... it's bloody NRA or whatever they're called crap man...
ReplyDeleteWoohoo Nathan! That comment is surely the definition of incoherency.
ReplyDeleteThe statement "Doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners." is correct, based on the provided statistics.
Nathan LeMaster is tongue-in-cheek comparing gun deaths to accidental deaths caused by physicians.
More people die in car accidents in the US every year than die from bullets. So should we ban cars?
And why is NRA bloody? They're simply standing up for the right of the citizen to own a gun; for self-defense, sport or otherwise.
Those people who lobby against private gun ownership are socialists who desire the Government to control everyone.
No hard feelings.
Read this and this.
ReplyDeleteGuns are not the cause of gun-related murders or accidental deaths, it is the people who use the guns.
As was proven in Christchurch, New Zealand in mid-May 07, you don't need a gun to kill people.
The 32 people who were murdered at Virginia Tech University in the United States were un-armed, an ideal easy target for the deranged killer.
