An interview

Hi, just a quick note as it's just 38 minutes into Thursday. If you like, have a listen here, where I explain what's going on with the Don't Vote Labour fiasco. http://www.95bfm.com/default,186202.sm. It's an interview from yesterday afternoon.

Blogging from Dunners

Yawn, it's 11:39pm on the 25th of January, and I'm down in Dunedin in a comfortable internet-cafe. Tomorrow it will be about three weeks since my last post, and heck, those three weeks have gone by fast and hectic.

Three weeks ago, googling dontvotelabour.org.nz returned 570 results - now it returns 15,200 results, so the message is definitely getting out there. The Bebo fanclub, the Facebook group, and the forum are all taking off.

Boy, I'm tired. Today was the last day of adventure camp at Waihola, where I was helping out as a leader. That was pretty flat out, but a great time with the kids, and catching up with the other leaders. The camp director pushed me in the lake, there I was in my last set of dry clothes, and there she goes and shoves me in. I ended up losing one of my sandals in the murky, muddy depths, but they were Simon's anyway, so I threw the other one in the bin.

10 minutes left until my hour of internet runs out. I'm going to wander around a bit more then head for the Railway station which is where I'll catch my bus for Christchurch in the morning.

Heh, then you've got all the drama with the so-called "Kiwi Party" - the re-branded Future New Zealand, with Gordon Copeland resigning, stating that it was in order to focus on his responsibilities as an Independent Member of Parliament. It's an absoulte shambles, a Mickey Mouse outfit. It's been an embarrasment to all involved from the word go. Gordon has missed the third (final) readings of two very important bills, the anti-smacking bill, and then the electoral finance bill. Sure, he's got his excuses all sorted out, but quite frankly, there is no excuse for it. Then you've got the poorly handled PR disaster involving the "attempted Destiny merge".

I've probably said enough... Anyway, will just say hi, and then sign off.

breaking illegal laws

Hi to regular readers and visitors to my blog. I've been pretty full out since Sunday evening, when, as I was doing the dishes, I had the idea to start up www.dontvotelabour.org.nz. This morning at 9:20am, I will be having my seventh Radio interview on Newstalk ZB (click here to listen online). Friday 4 Jan we started the forum. As of Friday night the site has recieved aproximately 120,000 hits. Word is spreading fast as the sidebar ad makes it's way around the web - and info on the site can now be found on several overseas websites and blogs.

Googling "dontvotelabour.org.nz" returns 570 results.

God has been very good to me over this time, and despite the late nights and hard work, I am going strong, by His Grace. Many friends and people I have never met before are standing alongside me, standing up for freedom of speech.

I am reminded of the prophecy of Isaiah 9:6-7 that would be fulfilled in Jesus Christ, hundreds of years later...

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace
There will beno end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

And, Psalm 2 says:

Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure.

Terrible, Fearful, Solemn words. God is in control. Those who have put their trust in Jesus' death and righteousness alone for their salvation are not afraid though. Because they know that All things work together for good - for Christians.

Our New Zealand Government has further betrayed the country that it was entrusted to serve. They have repeatedly blatantly ignored New Zealand as a whole; pursuing their terrible agenda, they care nothing for the freedom and well-being of the citizens of our once free land.
